As a personal trainer, I welcome all shapes, sizes and abilities to come move with me in a safe and fun environment. Together we can create positive fitness experiences that focus on improving your fitness, and discovering the enjoyable aspects of movement.
Stepping into a gym and hiring a personal trainer can often feel like a daunting experience filled with confusion on where to start, fear of whether you’ll be judged on your body or ability and apprehension as to whether a personal trainer is right for you.
But personal training should be about placing you at the heart of everything we do together. No two people who walk through the door are identical with each and every one of you with your own stories, personal experiences, preferences and barriers which makes it all the more important to work together as a team to support you appropriately.
I promise you will never be judged, shamed or criticised on your body or ability. Whilst social media can often make us feel like fitness is reserved for a certain body type or level of fitness and centred around body image, boring diets and nauseating workouts; we will explore the various other benefits movement has to offer such as improved fitness, health and well-being, quality of movement, and a sense of enjoyment too.

After the initial consultation where we discuss past experiences, goals and your expectations of using a personal trainer, we’ll go through a fitness assessment to determine where you’re at in terms of ability so that we can find the appropriate next steps in designing a programme tailored to you. We will also try to identify your barriers in improving your health, fitness and well-being and work together in how we can best support you.

Personal training in a small group setting of up to three people which offers support to help you build your fitness in a fun and social way.

I’ve been training with Jake for three years. I find sessions quite challenging, but Jake is very encouraging as a personal trainer, and gives me confidence in my ability to lift weights that I never thought I would be able to do on my own.
I’ve been training with Jake for about size years now. I started training with him just after I had my second baby and was trying to get back into my sports. I just really enjoy coming. He pushes me and it keeps me strong for life outside the gym as well. I’m a keen gardener and I’m able to do a lot more things in terms of lifting and pushing and pushing myself that I would otherwise not been able to had I not been consistently training.
